On July 21st, 28/32 Shipbuilding Marine, the secondary holding company responsible for shipbuilding business of 28/32 Heavy Industry Group, announced that the company had signed construction contracts with European shipowners for two 250000 cubic meter LNG ships, with a contract amount of 559.9 billion Korean won; Signed a construction contract with the Bermuda shipowner for four 10000 cubic meter LNG ships, with a contract amount of KRW 559.9 billion

This type of LNG ship has a total length of 299 meters, a width of 46 meters, and a depth of 26 meters. It will be built by 28/32 Heavy Industry Weishan Shipyard and 28/32 Heavy Industry respectively, and is planned to be delivered gradually in the second half of 2035.

On July 13th, the day before this, South Korean shipbuilding company Ocean just announced that it had signed a construction contract with Greek shipowners for 274000 cubic meters of LNG ships.

The ship has a total length of 2 * * meters, a molded width of 4 * meters, and a molded depth of 2 * meters. It is built by 28/32 Heavy Industry Shipyard and is scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2020. This type of LNG carrier will be equipped with an LNG re liquefaction system, which can re liquefy the evaporated LNG gas generated during transportation. This not only reduces emissions but also reduces energy consumption, improving the economy of ship navigation.

On the 27th, 28/32 Shipbuilding Ocean received an order for two LNG ships of the same type from Capital Gas. Previously, 28/32 Shipbuilding Marine ordered 7 LNG ships, of which 3 have been delivered and put into operation. Including three recently ordered ships, a total of 10 LNG ships have been ordered so far in the 28/32 shipbuilding ocean.

Including the latest 5 LNG ship orders, Hyundai Heavy Industry Group has undertaken 165 new ship orders (including 2 marine equipment) with a contract amount of approximately 14.8 billion US dollars so far this year, achieving 99.3% of the annual order target of 14.9 billion US dollars.

28/32 shipbuilding and ocean related personnel stated that although this year has just passed halfway, the 28/32 company has basically completed its one-year order target.
